The water based varnishes on this site have become the standard for the flooring trade.
High quality long lasting lacquers that are easy to apply using a long handled roller, a feature not found in many DIY products, and leave a beautiful finish that will last for years. Primers are not necessary as the first coat of varnish acts like a primer. Three coats are recommended. Roller application ( use a medium pile roller ) is by far the quickest and most efficient way of applying these lacquers. This combined with their fast drying times, sometimes down to an hour in a warm, dry, well ventilated room, mean that 3 coats are easily achievable in a day. A big plus if you are on a tight schedule. You can see the correct way to fill the gaps, sand and apply varnish with a roller by watching the SANDING DOWNLOAD OR DVD.

| A single pack, waterborne, 100% polyurethane wooden floor varnish. Mega is being specified at the National Gallery in London, to achieve a consistent finish for new and original wooden floors throughout the building. Easy to apply with a roller goes on like a dream, adds no colour, very hard wearing. No primer needed but you must apply three coats. The first coat acts as the primer. Great for kitchens and hallways and areas that receive more traffic. Highly recommended. |

| A two pack (mixing needed) waterborne, 100% polyurethane wooden floor lacquer. Alcohol resistant. The busy restaurant in Edinburgh Castle gets a tough finish and all the protection it needs with TRAFFIC. Suitable for areas in constant public use. Can be a little difficult for the novice to apply because of the two part aspect. If you have sanded floors before and are familiar with two part varnishes then you will have no problems. We would not recommend this varnish for first time users. |

| Quick Cure Floor Seal is a pre-catalysed 100% polyurethane formulation that gives rapid drying, re coat and hardness build up. It can be re-coated in 1½ hours and has 100% hardness build up in 12 hours. specifically formulated for commercial and domestic flooring. The floor above was varnished with Ronseal quick cure. Sheen: SILK/MATT. Not quite as hard wearing as Bonakemi Mega due to the fast curing aspect but good for people in a rush to get the furniture back into the room. A good varnish but a little more difficult to apply than Bonakemi Mega and Resident but not to the point where it becomes problematic. Great if your in a hurry |

| Hard wax oil is extremely water-repellent and does not water-mark. It's stain-resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water. Contains no preservatives and is suitable for use on children's furniture and toys. Requires only two coats with no primer. Is almost odourless on application and during drying period. Needs to be applied with a brush. Once oil has been applied to the floor you will not be able to use a varnish if you change your mind. |

LECOL AVAILABLE IN 2 SIZES 0.8 kg ( only enough for some minor repairs) and 5 kg (enough to fill the gaps in an average to large room) Lecol is a clear cellulose liquid which is mixed with clean sawdust from your sanding to make a filler. Lecol can be used for filling the gaps between boards and making good any defects on any wooden floor. Can be stained, sanded and varnished. Quick drying when used for nail holes and minor defects but allow overnight drying when gap filling. Highly recommended Highly flammable. Use in well ventilated areas. |
